Phonghue gallery is the painting gallery of us - a young couple: Phong (means Wind - the husband) and Hue (means White Lily - the wife)
I likes Impressionism painting and Rice paper, and my wife - Hue - likes landscape painting, Rice paper and silkpainting. Sometimes we use Lacquer and other material in our works.
We worked at Morin Hotel, Century Hotel in Hue and now we have a gallery - GAKKA Gallery in the Citadel and a gallery - Hue city.
With Phonghuegallery website, we want to introduce about our paintings and some of Vietnamese traditional material:
Lacquer: This material is used to decorate interior, from 20th century, this kind genre is use in art by some of famous artist. Lacquer painting is painted in Voc - lacquer plate (make from wood, curtain material and Lacquer liquid), the color to paint in Voc is lacquer color (with natural origin), gold leaf, silver leaf, egg shell...
Rice paper: a special material made by hand from aloe skin and rice flour, for a long time, it used to wrote (letters, books, calligraphy...) with Chinese Ink or water color.

Phonghue Gallery là một gallery tranh của một đôi vợ chồng trẻ là tôi - Phong và Huệ.
Tôi thích phong cách nghệ thuật Ấn tượng, thích vẽ trên giấy dó và vợ tôi - Huệ thích vẽ tranh phong cảnh, vẽ bằng chất liệu giấy dó và lụa. Thỉnh thoảng chúng tôi vẽ tranh sơn mài và một số thể loại khác.
Chúng tôi đã từng làm việc cho Khách sạn Morin, khách sạn Century ở Huế và bây giờ chúng tôi có một GAKKA Gallery ở trong Đại Nội - Huế.
Với trang web này, chúng tôi muốn giới thiệu với các bạn về những tác phẩm của chúng tôi và một vài chất liệu hội họa truyền thống của Việt nam.
Sơn mài: chất liệu này trước đây được dùng để trang trí nội thất, từ thế kỷ 20, nó được dùng trong nghệ thuật bởi một số họa sĩ nổi tiếng . Tranh sơn mài được vẽ trên vóc (làm từ ván ép, vải màn và sơn mài) , màu sắc để vẽ rtên vóc là màu sơn mài, có nguồn gốc thiên nhiên với lá vàng, lá bạc vỏ trứng....
Giấy dó: là một loại chất liệu đặc biệt được lấy từ vỏ cây và bột gạo, trong một thời gian dài, nó được sử dụng để viết thư, sách, thư pháp...với mực tàu hoặc màu nước. Hoang Thanh Phong
